The rest of the staff cleans up and the events of the day and evening are reviewed and discussed. The wellbeing of our guests are a shared responsibility.

The welfare state is slowly replaced by a more vital society in which individual participation is the norm. ‘Taking care of’ becomes ‘facilitating’.
Xtra is committed to strengthening people’s own abilities and improving upon society’s inherent vitality We enable citizens to actively co-create the new civil society and to be of value, both to themselves and to others. We prefer to achieve our mission in collaboration with partners in the field and in so doing build on a strong social network.
By supporting and facilitating, people will be more and more able to take matters in their own hands. It means taking responsibility to be of value to society. Xtra prefers simple and collaborative solutions. Our interventions are based on demand and the principle of reciprocity: ‘quid pro quo’. The result being that people feel valued: they are not only on the receiving end but contribute as well.
- reliability: we say what we do and do what we say;
- transparancy: we show who we are and are clear about our endeavours;
- positivity: we see possibilities and act on them.
