Would you like to help seniors reclaim the past?
‘Hidden Treasures’ is a new activity: professional actors take the audience on a trip down memory lane by reading stories and poetry. An interesting theme is chosen for fun assignments and people start sharing memories. It is your job to assist them with this.
Are you a socially committed individual and would you like to help elderly people with a mental disability? Do you like storytelling? Do you have a sense of perspective and humour? Then we would very much like to meet you!
Hidden Treasures’ is an initiative from ‘Foundation BedtimeStories’, developed by actresss and theatre maker Guusje Eijbers. The activity starts with a professional actor reading a book. Afterwards our clients and volunteers together start on fun assignments with the help of a ‘Hidden Treasures Activity Book’.

‘BedtimeStories’ is a foundation which brings together professional actors and vulnerable groups in our society. The actors read stories or poems that will serve as a starting point for sharing personal memories.
The work of ‘Bedtime Stories’ is made possible through contributions from funds, companies, private individuals and care facilities and is meant for both children and adults -regardless of culture, language or background- in hospitals, meeting centers, rehabilitation centers and care - and assisted living facilities.
‘Bedtime Stories’ offers relief by providing comfort, inspiration and a good time. Exciting, inspiring, beautiful, fun, poetic.
