Would you like to help an english speaking lady(she doesn't speak any dutch) in her late 70ties , who suffered stroke more than a year ago? We are looking for a social companion for a few hours once or twice a week.
The lady lived in Spain for twenty years, but after stroke and other health problems is living with her daughter in The Hague (Moerwijk/Leyweg) since last summer. The daughter works fulltime with irregular schedule.
Because of her physical (i.c. partly paralysed) and communication problems (wordfindingproblems) it is not possible to go out alone, so she spends her days mostly in front of the television and feels bored and lonely. But she has a very strong character and has good sense of humour, works very hard on her recovery. She already walks short distances with her rollator and with a little patience she can have a nice conversation. She would be delighted to find someone to talk to, to go shopping with or have a coffee somewhere etc. It will really help her recovery to have more social contact and her daughter will be very happy, when her mother is less lonely during her working hours.
