Summary

Do you like to take care of small animals in a beautiful green place close to the center of The Hague? Come join our enthusiastic volunteer team!

Detailed description

Together with other volunteers you will take care of our animals. There are two feeding moments daily and in the weekend we clean the enclosures with a team of motivated volunteers.

We are specifically looking for someone to help feed the animals on Monday morning and/or Friday morning (from 9:00 to 11:00). After the feeding service you will also make sure that everything is left neat and clean, so light cleaning duties are included in the service.

On Sunday mornings, between 10:00 and 13:00, we clean the cages and feed the animals with an enthusiastic team. We are also looking for extra help on Sundays. Whether you are available every Sunday or just once or twice a month, you are very welcome!

Can't make the days mentioned, but still want to help? Then respond, and we'll see what the possibilities are.

On our farm we have rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens and 4 farm cats.

Do you want to get your hands dirty?

Then join our team and help out on our lively neighborhood farm! Call or sign up via this site, and we will quickly plan an introduction at the farm.

About Stichting Jacobahof

The Jacobahof Foundation was founded in 2012 by a group of enthusiastic residents of Schilderswijk-West in The Hague with the aim of preserving the Jacobahof and Andy's Playground on the Schapenlaan. Since 2021 they also manage the Neighborhood Garden Zusterstraat. The foundation organizes activities in and around the Jacobahof for young and old and in collaboration with volunteers from the neighborhood and local partners. Everyone contributes in their own way and entirely voluntarily to make the neighborhood cozier, nicer, safer and greener together. Join and participate!
