About Terre des Hommes

The mission of Terre des Hommes is to stop child exploitation, the most serious violations of children's rights. Not an easy fight, because poverty sometimes drives people to despair and prosecuting perpetrators of child exploitation is often not a priority for local governments. But Terre des Hommes does not give up easily and continues to work together with its local partners for a world without child exploitation. The United Nations Conventions on the Rights of the Child form the basis for our work. In helping children, we make no distinction based on race, religion, gender or political persuasion. Almost 1700 volunteers are actively committed to stopping child exploitation in more than 40 stores in the Netherlands. Tens of thousands of donors and companies support them.
