At Hospice de Witte Roos we provide a safe and hospitable environment for our dear guests and their families. We strive to make their final days as comfortable and peaceful as possible. As a Hostess, you play an essential role in creating a warm and supportive atmosphere.


Job description:


  • Welcoming guest residents, families and visitors with a friendly smile and a listening ear.
  • Providing support and guidance in daily activities, such as serving meals and arranging drinks.
  • Creating a calm and comfortable environment through soft lighting, soothing music and keeping the space tidy.
  • Encouraging social contact and organizing small activities to help patients and their families relax and feel connected.
  • Ensure respectful and discreet handling of the privacy of patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with the care team to communicate any needs and provide the best possible care experience.


Qualifications:


  • A gentle and caring personality, with a gift for putting others at ease.
  • Empathy and understanding for the challenges people face in their final phase of life.
  • Good listening and communication skills, paying attention to the needs and wishes of others.
  • A respectful and patient attitude, with a willingness to listen to stories and memories from patients and families.
  • The ability to remain calm in emotional situations and provide respectful support.
