About Stichting Lichtpuntjes van Mariahoeve

Lichtpuntjes van Mariahoeve currently has approximately 60 volunteers. Most of them come from the Haagse Hout district. Volunteers are active with us on the basis of a volunteer agreement and can receive an expense or volunteer allowance. A number of them grow internally to an employment contract. They receive a part-time or temporary employment contract with an appropriate remuneration. Growth from volunteer work to paid work is part of the Lichtpuntjes development model.

We are an active organization and are growing fast. All help is welcome. With us you can choose from various/multiple tasks:
Hospitality: welcoming people. Serving coffee/tea, having a chat and referring people to the right aid agencies.
Kitchen: Helping with preparing hot meals, helping to cut, making snacks for social catering assignments, cleaning the kitchen, serving plates.
Resto van Lichtpuntjes: Helping in our restaurant, setting tables, serving food and clearing away.
Shop: Sorting clothes and displaying them nicely, hanging them up and folding them. Helping visitors with questions. Providing clothing advice.
Supervising workshops: Creative activities such as crafts, drawing, handicrafts
Lesson support: helping with painting lessons or sewing lessons in our studios
Beauty/care: volunteer nail stylist and make-up artist. If you are good at this, sign up! We are also looking for a hairdresser!
Cleaning: helping with cleaning tasks in both of our buildings, closing the day, final cleaning
Repair: support in our Repair studio, doing maintenance jobs in our locations.

Energy saving: Volunteer in our energy team, giving energy advice, insulation and saving tips and helping with the Fixbrigade and the handyman team at home.
Field service: picking up items in the neighborhood, delivering meals, food bank trips.

Quiet jobs: packing, preparing materials, light administrative work
Place2B: helping with children's activities (always with professional supervision), helping with crafts, handing out fruit, playing games.

Volunteers are the heart of the Mariahoeve Lightpoints Foundation.
