That is why we in the region of The Hague are building a bridge between people who have something to offer and vulnerable (groups of) people who are helped with it. This is based on the interest, knowledge and expertise of the volunteer.
Do you want to participate - alone or with a family or group of friends?
There are various possibilities to help someone else, for example:
Social projects
Cooking for the homeless; organizing a fun (games) afternoon for people with a disability; drinking coffee and walking with the elderly; sports and games afternoon with children or baking something delicious with the elderly.
Practical projects
Making a home liveable (such as laying floors, painting/wallpapering or cleaning); gardening at someone's home; social gardening (make a neighborhood livable again!) or decorating a nursing home for Christmas.
So you see: there is something for everyone to do to build a bridge between all residents of The Hague!

About Present Den Haag
Organizational goal: to 'move' people for each other. Present Den Haag strives for a society in which people look after people in need with their available options. We focus on specific needs: illness, loneliness and poverty.
Core activity: Present Den Haag organizes and supervises volunteer projects for groups of people. The program of the volunteer project is selected based on the interest, knowledge and skills of the volunteer group. We provide our services to companies, (semi-) governments, groups of friends, student associations, churches and schools. The volunteer projects last one day (part) and can be set up once or on a structural basis.
