Who we are
Wool for Warmth is a non-profit organization committed to helping homeless people in The Hague by donating winter cloths. The network of knitters and crocheters transforms the old scraps of wool into beautiful hand knitted/crocheted winter gifts for the 39,300 homeless in The Netherlands.
We are looking for an experienced Executive Director to join our team to help us in organizing and coordinating day to day tasks and operations.
What you’ll do
Project & Policy Implementation
Implement and execute the organization's mission and vision.
Implement projects and initiatives funded through various sources.
Enforce office policies and procedures to maintain a productive and
harmonious work environment.
Provide support for day-to-day activities and operations, including
planning, coordination, and control.
Organize and coordinate office events, conferences, or meetings.
Administrative & Office Management
Supervise the day-to-day administrative activities such as record-
keeping, filing, and data management.
Facilitate the coordination of logistics, transportation, accommodation,
and other related tasks.
Ensure the office is organized and efficient by managing supplies,
equipment, and facility maintenance.
Address issues and challenges that arise within the office, finding
practical solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
Advocacy & Communication
Advocate for fundraising opportunities by engaging with fund
organizations to enhance the organization's effectiveness.
Facilitate communication within the office and with external
stakeholders, including handling phone calls, emails, and other
correspondence.
Staff Management
Supervise project and administrative staff and delegate tasks as needed.
Participate in hiring, training, and evaluating of employees.
Scheduling & Coordination
Manage schedules, appointments, and meetings. Coordinate with other
departments or external parties as necessary.
Collaborate closely with the board, preparing information to facilitate
informed decision-making.
Participate in board meetings as an ex-officio member without voting
rights, offering suggestions and advice.
Assist the board in annual planning and provide progress and
achievement reports annually or upon request.
Financial Responsibilities
In coordination with the Treasurer, handle budgeting, expense tracking,
and financial record-keeping for office-related activities and projects
