What will you do at Basalt?
As a handy volunteer, you will perform the legionella check weekly and you will also alternate various chores with each other. For example, you can think of the following repairs and installations:
- Hanging soap dispensers and whiteboards, etc.
- Replacing batteries and bulbs
- Replacing, repairing and installing slats
- Repair and/or replace furniture
- Attaching small shelves
- Car washing (having it washed) so a driver's license is required.
- Flushing tasks for legionella management.
When and where will you be working?
You will work at one of the following Basaltlocations :
The Hague: on Thursday morning.

With ten locations, Basalt is the center of expertise for complex, medical specialist rehabilitation care in South Holland. Approximately 1200 employees ensure that patients who are limited as a result of illness, accident or congenital condition can participate in society again. You are serious and reliable and have an affinity with technology. You work together with the employees/volunteers in a pleasant way. Experience with similar activities is not required. Problem-solving skills and being able to work independently are a plus.
We offer our volunteers:
- a volunteer agreement in which you are covered by third-party liability insurance during the hours you are deployed for Basalt;
- a travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometre, with a maximum of 30 kilometres one way;
- informative volunteer meetings;
- an annual fun evening with all the volunteers of Basalt.
