What will you do at Basalt?
As a handy volunteer, you will perform the legionella check weekly and you will also alternate various chores with each other. For example, you can think of the following repairs and installations:
- Hanging soap dispensers and whiteboards, etc.
- Replacing batteries and bulbs
- Replacing, repairing and installing slats
- Repair and/or replace furniture
- Attaching small shelves
- Car washing (having it washed) so a driver's license is required.
- Flushing tasks for legionella management.
When and where will you be working?
You will work at one of the following Basaltlocations :
The Hague: on Thursday morning.

Approximately 1200 employees ensure that patients who are limited as a result of illness, accident or congenital condition can participate in society again. To this end, we encourage patients to push boundaries, increase their own strength and regain ownership of their lives.

You are serious and reliable and have an affinity with technology. You work together with the employees/volunteers in a pleasant way. Experience with similar activities is not required. Problem-solving skills and being able to work independently are a plus.
We offer our volunteers:
- a volunteer agreement in which you are covered by third-party liability insurance during the hours you are deployed for Basalt;
- a travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometre, with a maximum of 30 kilometres one way;
- informative volunteer meetings;
- an annual fun evening with all the volunteers of Basalt.
