Spanish translator

The Dignita Academy offers recognized work-study programs in the social enterprise and accredited work-study location Dignita, our restaurant at Prins Hendrikstraat 105. Here, people from a vulnerable position (victims of human trafficking, domestic violence and men and women from prostitution) can follow various work-study programs under supervision: from basic training in kitchen techniques to barista courses and from nail styling to administration.

Many of our participants come from Latin America and speak little to no Dutch. In order to reduce their vulnerability and increase their opportunities for a stable future, they can participate in our trainings, even if they do not speak Dutch yet.

Our trainings consist of 4 to 8 weeks and during these weeks we are looking for Spanish translators for half a day per week. You will be present at the training and translate the trainer from English/Dutch to Spanish on the spot. In addition, you will make contact with the women, put them at ease and thus create a safe space. If you have time and space to support us in this valuable work, I would like to hear from you.
