Detailed description
The BuurtBand is open to everyone.
People of all ages, backgrounds, and education levels are welcome—whether or not they have a disability. We always aim to lower barriers so that everyone can participate and be empowered.
As a volunteer with the BuurtBand, you are responsible for helping to ensure that rehearsals run smoothly.
This includes setting up and taking down instruments, as well as supporting and assisting participants.
You also play an important role in supporting the BuurtBand’s performances and staying involved in the band’s development.
This means taking part in interim meetings about the band’s progress. And on top of all that, there's plenty of room for you to join in and play along!
The goal of the BuurtBand in The Hague is to strengthen connections between different community groups in the surrounding neighborhoods.
That’s why the organizers make every effort to involve the area’s diverse residents in the project.
