About Lekker Nassuh

The goal of Lekkernassuh is having accessible healthy, honest and delicious food for everyone in town. Food is a social binder, and houses universal values which are repeated in almost every culture. It is run by the foundation Lokaal Voedsel Den Haag that facilitates the work of Lekkernassuh, as an independent organization.

Core activity
In May 2014, we started as an experiment to distribute local vegetables. We wanted to know whether the people of The Hague require local products. Every Wednesday between 16:00 and 19:00 we facilitate the market in de Gymzaal (Witte de Withstraat 127). Every member of the market buys a fixed amount of fruit and vegetables. We see the distribution of vegetables as the foundation for a physical infrastructure. We are now beyond the experimental phase and are evolving Lekkernassuh towards a structure for a collaborative community.
