About Participatie Keuken
The initiator of the Participation Kitchen is Ben Lachhab. As the child of a Moroccan guest worker, he had a dream: to form a community in which people help each other and strengthen each other. In an ideal society everyone participates. In reality, that doesn't work for everyone. The Participation Kitchen wants everyone to feel welcome and participate.Our extension tables transform community rooms, community centers or living rooms into meeting places. There is enormous power in the encounter: by eating, talking and working together, people from all levels of society meet each other. The goal: to strengthen people's resilience through 10,000 to 15,000 meetings per week.
