About Theater De Vaillant

In De Vaillant you experience, create and taste the culture of the new Netherlands on stage, in the organization and in the kitchen. We see it as our task to be an inviting theater for all residents of The Hague, especially in the Center district. The culture of residents and talents from the Schilderswijk and Transvaal in particular plays a leading role in this. We like to cross borders, those of our neighborhoods and of the city of The Hague. We look for a challenge where other stages are satisfied. In this way we make room for people and performing arts that do not yet have a place in the cultural system of the city and country.

Participation is the key word. Anyone who wants to participate is challenged to present themselves in De Vaillant. From a step to the stage to a leap to the world stage or just a nice place to work: De Vaillant is a professional, world-wise theater with a broad cultural perspective. Colorful artists and a polyphonic audience make De Vaillant inclusive and accessible to everyone, we would like to set an example for others.

Because art and culture make you richer if you do it yourself, but especially if you share it together.
