Summary

Join Viable Community as a Fundraising Lead/Coordinator to play a key role in securing resources for innovative environmental projects

Detailed description

Location: Remote

Commitment: 15-20 hours per week (flexible)

About Us:

Viable Community is a global, non-profit organization rooted in the European Union. Our mission is to protect and regenerate nature by building community-managed projects that promote sustainability, conservation, and restoration.

Our innovative initiatives include:

  • An AgriVoltaics project in Spain, combining regenerative agriculture with renewable energy to combat desertification.
  • Educational events and video series to inspire and inform communities about sustainability and Web3.
  • A small-scale AgriVoltaics pilot in The Hague, designed for urban and suburban areas.
  • “Introduction to Web3” workshops in Nigeria and The Hague, leveraging technology for environmental impact

We are looking for a Fundraising Lead/Coordinator to help secure vital resources for these impactful projects and expand our global reach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Fundraising: Design and execute creative campaigns to secure funding for Viable’s initiatives.
  • Grant Applications: Identify suitable grant opportunities and lead proposal submissions for EU and local funding.
  • Crowdfunding: Plan and manage crowdfunding campaigns to engage a passionate donor community.
  • Partnership Development: Build relationships with environmentally conscious companies to secure in-kind donations and sponsorships.
  • Donor Engagement: Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with Content, PR, and Marketing teams to create cohesive and impactful campaigns.

Our Expectations:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is passionate about sustainability and environmental preservation.
  • Has experience in fundraising, grant writing, or nonprofit development.
  • Can work independently and collaboratively within a digital workspace.
  • Takes initiative, communicates effectively, and is comfortable using tools like Google Workspace, Slack, and ClickUp.
  • Is committed to meet on a weekly or biweekly basis and takes the lead in team and task coordination.

What You’ll Gain:

  • A chance to make a meaningful impact on environmental preservation and regeneration.
  • Opportunities to develop skills in fundraising, leadership, and nonprofit operations.
  • Access to a supportive and collaborative international network.
  • Experience with professional digital tools and platforms.
  • Training sessions and participation in fun team activities like cultural workshops and meetups.

Time Commitment:

We ask for a minimum of 15 hours per week, with flexibility to fit your schedule. Coordination meetings are held bi-weekly, with optional governance discussions.

Training and Support:

Induction and ongoing training will be provided, including tools like Google Workspace, Slack, Canva, and ClickUp.
