Whether you're a curious traveler seeking off-the-beaten-path experiences or a seasoned local eager to rediscover your city's secrets, this workshop promises to ignite your sense of wonder and unveil the hidden treasures of The Hague.


In this workshop, you will:

  • Explore hidden courtyards and alleys tucked away from the bustling crowds, each with its own unique charm and history.
  • Unlock the mysteries of lesser-known historical sites, including hidden chapels, secret gardens, and forgotten monuments.
  • Delve into the rich tapestry of multicultural influences shaping the city's identity, from its vibrant street art scene to its diverse culinary offerings.
  • Gain insider knowledge and tips from the local guide, uncovering hidden gems that even locals may not know about.


This workshop is part of the supersized Mix & Match Volunteer Job Fair titled "Together at Home" held on May 11 alongside three more workshops: "Dutch Culture Decoded: Navigating Windmills, Bitterballen, and Directness!" by Gert-Jan Aleman, director of PEP Den Haag, "Building Bridges: How Volunteering Bridges the Gap to Career Success" by Tetyana Benzeroual, Project Lead at PEP Den Haag, and "Integrating Volunteering into your Job-Hunting Strategy" by Sarah Feid, an account manager at The Hague International Centre.

Volunteer The Hague is a project initiated by the Municipality of The Hague and organized by the local non-profit organization PEP Den Haag. The Volunteer The Hague site hosts hundreds of volunteer activities for every age, skill-set, and availability.
