In this workshop, you will learn how to integrate volunteering into job-hunting, as well as career opportunities for internationals.
Detailed description
During the workshop, Sarah will share her own experience of going from an international student to working for a Dutch employer. You will learn more about the working culture in the Netherlands as well as the key economic clusters of the region. You will gain practical information on job hunting and career opportunities for internationals, and Sarah will share how volunteering may be a career strategy to unlock new opportunities.
This workshop is part of the supersized Mix & Match Volunteer Job Fair titled "Together at Home" held on May 11 alongside three more workshops: "Hidden Gems of The Hague" by Harry Bogers, guide at Gilde Den Haag, "Dutch Culture Decoded: Navigating Windmills, Bitterballen, and Directness!" by Gert-Jan Aleman, director of PEP Den Haag, and "Building Bridges: How Volunteering Bridges the Gap to Career Success" by Tetyana Benzeroual, Project Lead at PEP Den Haag.

About the speaker: Sarah Feid is an account manager at The Hague International Centre, where she helps to provide easy-to-navigate support for individuals seeking to make the Netherlands their new home. As an international, she knows from first-hand experience how important it is for those relocating to have a place to turn to with questions, and she is passionate about ensuring internationals receive this warm welcome. Sarah is in close contact with employers and internationals and strives to help newcomers in The Hague region by providing assistance and information about working and living in The Hague region.
