The Bloemenbuurt: a pleasant neighbourhood for everyone who spends time here; a neighbourhood where you can be young and grow old
The Wijkberaad believes it is important that the Bloemenbuurt is and remains a pleasant and beautiful neighbourhood for residents, entrepreneurs, pupils and passers-by. Social cohesion and well-being, liveability and (traffic) safety are paramount. The Wijkberaad facilitates and organises numerous activities for and by residents of the Bloemenbuurt (and beyond). The De Hyacint community centre and the associated garden form a wonderful home base for this. In addition, the Wijkberaad supports initiatives by residents and other parties that contribute to the well-being of the residents and the liveability in the neighbourhood. Advocacy is not part of the task package.
The Wijkberaad has contacts with the municipality about municipal plans and developments in the neighbourhood. In doing so, the Wijkberaad ensures that residents can make their voices heard.
The Wijkberaad consists of volunteers. Every year, the Wijkberaad makes choices about which themes and topics are relevant and feasible.
