Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive person to join our team as a secretary.

Detailed description

Role overview:

As secretary, you provide essential administrative support to the board. You ensure that meetings are well-organized, that minutes are kept, and that communication between board members and the community runs smoothly.


Main Responsibilities:

- Prepare and distribute agendas, minutes and reports for board meetings.

- Keep accurate records of board discussions, decisions and actions.

- Handle correspondence on behalf of the board and ensure that it is responded to in a timely manner.

- Maintain important documents and ensure the café complies with legal and regulatory requirements.

- Act as the first point of contact for the administrative needs of the board.


Skills and qualities:

- Very organized with great attention to detail.

- Good written and oral communication skills.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

- Previous experience in an administrative or secretarial position is an advantage

- Commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion and social involvement.

About The Hungry Mind

The Hungry Mind is a dynamic international community centre serving both the local residents of Loosduinen and the diverse international community of The International School of The Hague. Our mission is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where individuals from all backgrounds can come together to connect, learn, and grow.

We host a variety of daily activities for adults and after-school programs for children, including yoga, ballet, football, hockey, comic book creation, arts classes, and more. Additionally, we regularly organize workshops, quiz nights, markets, movie screenings, and other enjoyable events.
