Are you under 30 and do you want to commit yourself to people in The Hague in a vulnerable position? With a social service time (MDT) at Haagse Helpers we connect you with an organization and you help a target group that appeals to you, such as the elderly, people with an intellectual disability, queer people, and people who are committed to combating food waste.
The tasks will depend on the organization, and every talent comes in handy somewhere. Cooking, walking, singing, organizing, chatting, you name it. In addition, you can also develop yourself further and we are happy to think along with learning goals. From Haagse Helpers you get good guidance and we stay in touch.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to follow workshops and connect with the community of young volunteers. And at the end you will receive a nice certificate!
About Netwerk Haagse Helpers
With us you can develop your talents, make new friends and roll up your sleeves. You go out in The Hague to carry out practical and social help activities for vulnerable people requesting help. Examples include gardening, shopping, buddy contact, cooking for vulnerable people and baking pancakes for the elderly in nursing homes. We guide you in the implementation of the volunteer work and like to hear your experiences during a coffee moment at our office. We also organize training courses and workshops on social themes. You focus on self-development, you meet other volunteers and we have a drink together afterwards.
