What will you do at Basalt?
As a handy volunteer, you carry out the legionella check every week and also alternate various chores. For example, you can consider the following repairs and installations:
- Hanging soap dispensers and whiteboards, etc.
- Replacing batteries and lamps
- Replacing, repairing and installing slats
- Repair and/or replace furniture
- Attaching small planks
- Car washed, so driving license required.
- Rinsing tasks for legionella management.
When and where will you work?
You will work at one of the following Basaltlocations :
- Delft: on Wednesday mornings;
- The Hague: on Thursday morning.
About the organization
With ten locations, Basalt is the center of expertise for complex, medical specialist rehabilitation care in South Holland. Approximately 1,200 employees ensure that patients who are limited as a result of illness, accident or congenital condition can participate in society again. To this end, we encourage patients to push boundaries, increase their own strength and regain ownership of their lives.

You are serious and reliable and have an affinity with technology. You work together with the employees/volunteers in a pleasant way. Experience with similar activities is not required. Solving skills and being able to work independently is an advantage.
We offer our volunteers:
- a volunteer agreement whereby you are third party insured during the hours you are deployed for Basalt;
- a travel allowance of €0.19 per kilometer, with a maximum of 30 kilometers one way;
- informative volunteer meetings;
- an annual pleasant evening with all Basalt volunteers.
