We are looking for someone who can support us in organizing events (conferences, debates, dialogue meetings) about war and peace.Detailed description
The Hague Peace Projects is a young organization in The Hague that is committed to peace by providing analysis and information about armed conflict, stimulating dialogue between warring parties and encouraging public debate about war and peace.
To create a real dialogue and conversation between people, we believe in the power of personal encounters. That is why we regularly organize meetings of a diverse nature: from large conferences with dignitaries to small, private dialogue meetings, fundraisers, cultural events and debate evenings. We are therefore looking for a volunteer who wants to take the lead in organizing all these types of events.
We are looking for someone with the following qualities:
- Extensive experience in organizing large and small events
- Good networker who enjoys communicating and being in contact with many different parties
- Voluntarily available approximately 4-8 hours per week.
- Interest in and knowledge of the subject of war and peace.

Mission:
The mission of the Hague Peace Projects is to contribute to peaceful solutions to (armed) conflicts by bringing diaspora groups in the Netherlands from conflict areas together, to contribute to the knowledge of the root causes of conflict and its possible solutions.
By researching, analyzing and clarifying the often complex contexts and realities of (armed) conflicts, the Hague Peace Projects will provide relevant information to decision makers, assist and encourage actors on all levels to take the necessary actions that lead to conflict resolution and eventually peace.
